INFRASTRUCTURE ALERT!!

Douglas Redesign

The City of Wichita’s Engineering Dept has presented a revised version of the Douglas Design Concept.  You can review it here.  Douglas Ave will be getting a road diet and because of advocacy from cyclists, citizens, and business leaders, that plan now includes a bike lane!  The pilot project will be live for 6 months and will consist of painted markings along Douglas to represent planned infrastructure changes.  It is set to go live this Spring! Be on the lookout for those road markings and show the City of Wichita that its citizens are ready to use cycling infrastructure to get to their favorite places!

Want to stay up to date on projects such as this?  You’re encouraged to attend the Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Board meetings.  You can stay up to date on Pedestrian and Cycling infrastructure projects in the City of Wichita!  Click here for more information.
